![]() ![]() As Webber became more involved in politics he became involved in the British Guiana Labour Union. In response to British attempts to reduce electoral involvement and transform British Guiana into a crown colony, Webber helped form the Popular Party, the first political party in the British West Indies. By 1925 he was seen as a leader of the Afro-Guyanese and Indo-Guyanese people. In 1921 Webber got involved in politics and was elected a Financial Representatives in the Combined Court, British Guiana's legislated body. In 1929 he helped launch the West Indian Press Association. Between 19 he was editor of the New Daily Chronicle. In 1919 he became editor of another newspaper, the Daily Chronicle, a position he held until 1925. Between 19 Webber worked for several gold producers before working in advertising, first for the Daily Argosy newspaper and later for Booker Brothers, the largest conglomerate in British Guiana. In 1899 Webber migrated to British Guiana and married Beatrice Elizabeth Glassford in 1899. Around 1890 Webber's parents separated and his father migrated to British Guiana to join his two half brothers, Ernest and Percival Forbes. Webber was born in Scarborough, Tobago, to Sarah ( née Hope) and James Frances Webber and baptised in the Wesleyan-Methodist Church. He was author of Those That Be in Bondage: A Tale of Indian Indentures and Sunlit Western Waters (1917), a novel described as "a strange mixture of romantic sentimentality and protest against the treatment of East Indian indentured labourers on Guyanese plantations", and Centenary History and Handbook of British Guiana (1931). He is the founder and owner of More than A game athlete development center (MTAG).Albert Raymond Forbes Webber FRGS (1 January 1880 – 29 June 1932) was a Tobago-born Guyanese politician, author and newspaper editor. He currently lives in Augusta Georgia, he has three beautiful daughters and a lovely wife. Webber also spent time win the CFL, UFL and AFL respectively. ![]() He finished career in 2014 after spending time with the Green Bay Packers and ending his career with the Miami Dolphins where a broken finger sidelined him. He subsequently played for the Seattle Seahawks and then in the same year with the New York Jets, but again injury shortened his season. Raymond went to the NFL, playing his rookie year for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a season cut short by a torn hamstring. He has held UAPB’s records for receptions in a game, yards in a game, receptions in a single season, yards in a single season, receptions in a career and yards in a career, He ended his senior season becoming the second player in Southwestern Athletic Conference to ever record 100 receptions in a single season (101) Jerry rice holds the record at 103. ![]() Raymond Later attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where he majored in business marketing and became a four year letterman in football. Miller Career Academy in his sophomore year, he was not allowed to play any sports for his first year, but still attended practice and worked out with his teammates which ultimately excelled him in 4 sports at Career Academy:basketball, football, baseball and track. Louis, Missouri, Raymond attended Cleveland NJROTC High School in South Saint Louis. Raymond Webber is a retired NFL wide receiver who holds a collegiate career reception record that only NFL superstar Jerry Rice has surpassed and who later played with five teams in a pro career challenged with injuries. ![]()
